Kartoni Glarus site development

Brugger + Partner supported Sutter Projects in developing a compelling concept and positioning the Kartoni Quarter in the canton of Glarus. Sutter Projects, a real estate project developer, is involved in the design and implementation of construction projects. The Kartoni Quarter, adjacent to Glarus train station and the Linth river, spans approximately 34,000 m². The aim was the define the project content and initiate subsequent steps, including partner acquisition and the design planning process. Brugger + Partner facilitated the creation of a visionary use concept that extends its impact beyond the quarter, enhancing visibility for the entire canton of Glarus. The outcomes included a requirements programme for the study mandate and a roadmap. The project promoters and timeline were firmly established. Two creative workshops featuring global entrepreneurs, lateral thinkers from within the canton, and representatives of the project organisation enriched the ideation process.
