Private sector engagement

As part of a multi-year backstopping mandate, Brugger + Partner has been supporting the SDC since 2019 in enhancing its private sector engagement, which has gained considerable importance under the federal International Cooperation Strategy 2021–2024. The objective is to harness the potential for promoting sustainable development in countries in the Global South and East. Brugger + Partner has played a key role in developing internal tools and processes, such as the SDC Handbook on Private Sector Engagement, ensuring that potential and existing private partners adhere to human rights, environmental, social, and governance standards. Other significant activities include analysing, assessing, and conducting due diligence on cooperation partners, as well as creating training and communication materials.
