Innovation Biotope Uri

Brugger + Partner, together with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, developed a business model and organisational concept for the Innovation Biotope Uri, a non-profit initiative supported by a development association, the Cantonal Bank of Uri, and the Uri Business Association. The Innovation Biotope Uri aims to foster innovation, education, and research, as well as networking and resource mobilisation for innovative companies in the canton of Uri. The Innovation Biotope is centred around the station building at the cantonal railway station in Altdorf, providing space for creative exchange and knowledge transfer. The project began with an analysis of best-practice examples from established innovation parks and discussions with regional stakeholders to assess needs and interests. Based on these findings, an initial draft of the business model (canvas) was created, which was discussed and refined in a workshop with the advisory group. The organisational concept was then finalised, and an application for a New Regional Policy (NRP) project was prepared.
