Climate strategy

Brugger + Partner supported the environmental commission of the municipality of Erlenbach in developing a climate strategy aimed at achieving net zero by 2040. Erlenbach is already guided by the principle of sustainable development, as reflected in its 2022-2026 legislative programme. The municipality's objective is to formulate and implement the vision of a Climate-neutral Erlenbach 2040. Key steps include preparing a greenhouse gas inventory, establishing a reduction pathway, and developing an energy plan. Erlenbach aspires to serve as a role model by promoting lighthouse projects in climate and energy. The next crucial step is to translate this vision into a pragmatic strategy, focusing on concrete and measurable outcomes that enhance the quality of life in Erlenbach while protecting the climate. The strategy prioritises delivering clear benefits to the municipality.
