Socio-economic analysis for K+S

Brugger + Partner, together with the Gesellschaft für Markt- und Absatzforschung, a German market and sales research company, conducted two socio-economic studies for the Werra and Zielitz mining sites on behalf of the international mining company K+S. These studies aimed to evaluate the regional economic, social, health, and macroeconomic impacts of the sites on future regional development. The methodology combined quantitative and qualitative approaches: a regional structural analysis served as the foundation for a series of qualitative interviews with K+S internal and external experts from various business areas and institutions. This was supplemented by a regional incidence analysis to quantitatively map the spatial value-added effects of the sites. These studies by Brugger + Partner provided K+S with a critical component for the upcoming approval procedures under mining law.
