Thur stakeholder mapping

Brugger + Partner supported WWF Switzerland in developing a stakeholder map for the Thur river catchment area. The objective was to identify relevant economic actors in the catchment area, particularly regarding the financing of the Living Thur water protection project. The stakeholder mapping methodology developed by us for WWF Switzerland was applied in this process. The initial step involved conducting foundational research on the catchment area. Potentially relevant stakeholders were then identified using a set of criteria, desk research, and interviews. These stakeholders were subsequently analysed and evaluated based on the extent to which they are affected, their influence, and their attitude, using an analysis grid defined in advance. The result was an interpreted stakeholder map accompanied by concrete recommendations for effective stakeholder management.
