Location analysis for SBS training centre

Brugger + Partner supported Seilbahnen Schweiz (SBS) in evaluating potential locations for its future training centre. SBS, the business association representing the Swiss cablecar industry, advocates for the interests of cablecar companies. The goal was to identify suitable sites and cooperation partners for a centrally located training campus, including facilities for classroom instruction, workshops, and a training hall, as well as a hub in the east of Switzerland for continuing education and practical training. A preliminary analysis, involving desk research and interviews, was conducted to identify potential locations. These locations were prioritised during a workshop and subsequently subjected to a detailed analysis. The process included site inspections, discussions with relevant stakeholders, the commissioning of feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses. This approach resulted in concrete location recommendations presented to the executive board and the general meeting.
